Family policies

What families ask us before camp starts.

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

What to bring and what to leave at home

Closed shoes, a hat with a brim and clothes that can get dirty. Bring a labeled water bottle, a lunch in a labeled bag, sunscreen already on and a change of clothes for sprinkler days. Leave phones, toys and anything valuable at home.

Sun, shade and water

Camp has no pool or lake. On hot days we run sprinklers on the back lawn with an adult at each, and campers wear play clothes and shoes that can get wet. There is shade and water at every block, and a water break between blocks.

Drop-off and pickup

An adult on your list signs your camper in and out at the door each day, and we ask for ID until we know you. A camper goes home only with someone on that list, and we call you if a different adult comes.

When to keep your child home

Please keep your camper home with a fever, a rash you can't explain or an upset stomach, and bring them back after a full day without it. If a camper feels ill at camp, we call you and an adult stays with them until you arrive.

Meals, snacks and allergies

Families send lunch in a labeled bag, and we provide a morning snack and water. Tell us about allergies at registration, and we ask what we need privately; please leave them off the website forms.

Heat, storms and closed days

When the day is very hot or a storm is near, outdoor blocks move into the fellowship hall and the classrooms. If camp has to close, we text and call every family before the morning starts. Camp is closed the week of Independence Day.

Phones and screens

Phones and tablets stay at home. A camper who needs to reach a parent uses the office phone, and you may call the camp at any point in the day.
